On June 21st, SEOUL VIOSYS (www.seoulviosys.com), a leading global company in UV LED solutions, announced that the company will be showcasing their new mosquito trap, ‘MOSCLEAN’, which utilizes cutting-edge violeds technology, the same that is also used for space station sterilization, at the CE (Consumer Electronics) Week exhibit in New York, USA.
The CE Week Exhibit, held in New York, USA, beginning June 22nd, which is an exhibit that introduces products with creative and innovative technology all around the world, is also a cutting-edge high-tech technology exhibit whose participants include many IT companies that produce cell phones, drones, and virtual reality products.
SEOUL VIOSYS owns numerous patents related to the violeds technology that the company, as the world’s first, has developed with over 10 years of research. At the exhibit, SEOUL VIOSYS will showcase various products including MOSCLEAN that have violeds application, the company’s unique UV LED technology, and will also be holding a MOSCLEAN product presentation.
MOSCLEAN is an exceptional mosquito trap that can capture 13-times more yellow fever mosquitoes (Aedes aegypti) that carry the Zika virus, and 9-times more Anopheline mosquitoes that carry Malaria, than mosquito traps that meet the standards set by the USA CDC. Unlike existing chemical-based mosquito insecticidesmosquito traps that use UV lamps containing mercury, MOSCLEAN uses UV LED to capture mosquitoes, and therefore has no detrimental effect on humans and the environment, and can be used semi-permanently once purchased.
MOSCLEAN was rated with a customer satisfaction rating of 90 out of 100 within the first month of its test-marketing release on AMAZON.com, a leading global online-shopping website, thereby receiving the highest score in its product category, and the company was flooded with orders all around the world, including Singapore, Indonesia, India, and Brazil. Domestically in South Korea, MOSCLEAN was released in partnership with PASECO. On July 16th, MOSCLEAN’s first launching was on TV with Lotte Homeshopping, and by successfully targeting the consumer trend which prefers mosquito repellent without chemicals, the product was sold out within the first 40 minutes of the show, demonstrating that the product was well received by domestic customers as well.
On July 22nd, 1:40 pm, MOSCLEAN will have another showing on Lotte Homeshopping, and in the future, other MOSCLEAN products reflecting various customer needs such as products for camping and commercial use, will be released.
